Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar storage that Vox Affiliates uses, what each one does and how long it lasts. Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are used only if you accept them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for a few conveniences, described below.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Keeps you signed in to your account. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Essential |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Protects sign-in and forms against cross-site request forgery. | Until you close the browser | Essential |
| next-auth.callback-url | Returns you to the right page after signing in. | Until you close the browser | Essential |
| vox_ref | Remembers the affiliate whose link you clicked, so they're credited if you buy. | 6 months (180 days) | Affiliate tracking |
| vox_vid | A random visitor ID that links your affiliate click to a later purchase. It contains no personal details. | 6 months (180 days) | Affiliate tracking |
| vox_recruiter | Remembers which affiliate invited you to join the affiliate program (refer-a-friend). | 6 months (180 days) | Affiliate tracking |
| _ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors so we can count visits and see which pages are used. Only set if you accept analytics. | 2 years | Analytics (optional) |
| _ga_LBGCCJWBZD | Google Analytics: keeps the state of your current visit. Only set if you accept analytics. | 2 years | Analytics (optional) |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads: links a visit from one of our ads to an action on our site (such as joining the affiliate program), so we can measure which ads work, and lets Google show our ads to people who visited our site (remarketing). Only set if you accept. | 90 days | Advertising measurement (optional) |
On secure connections the sign-in cookie names start with __Secure- or __Host-.
The 6 months (180 days) affiliate referral cookie
- When you arrive through an affiliate's link, the
vox_refandvox_vidcookies remember that visit for 6 months (180 days). - If you buy anything during that time, the affiliate earns a commission. You pay exactly the same price.
- If you later click a different affiliate's link, the newer link replaces the older one (last click wins).
- See our Affiliate Disclosure for how affiliate commissions work.
Google Analytics and Google Ads (optional)
- We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how people arrive and what device type they use. It is never used on admin pages.
- If you arrive from one of our Google ads and join the affiliate program, we record the ad click and later milestones (your first referral click and first sale) so Google Ads can tell us which ads bring active affiliates.
- These cookies are only set if you choose "Accept" in the cookie notice. If you choose "Essential only", Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you, and your ad click is not reported.
- We do not send your name, email or purchase details to Google.
- Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.
Local storage
- vox_vid: the same visitor ID as the cookie above, kept so affiliate attribution survives if cookies are cleared.
- vox_billing: your billing state and GST details from checkout, so you do not have to type them again. Stored only on your device.
- vox_cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice (analytics accepted or essential only).
- vox_cart: products in your cart before you sign in.
- Session storage is used briefly to avoid counting the same referral click twice.
Payments
Checkout is handled by Razorpay. When you pay, Razorpay's payment window may set its own cookies for security and fraud prevention, under Razorpay's privacy policy.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
- Blocking the essential cookies stops sign-in and checkout from working.
- Blocking the affiliate tracking cookies does not affect your purchase; the affiliate who referred you may simply not be credited.
- You can accept or refuse analytics cookies at any time with the "Change my cookie choice" button above.
